This past weekend I went to San Francisco to celebrate Christmas with some of my relatives. Since my relatives are going to San Diego for Christmas, we decided to just eat at a restaurant. We ate at Hung To, a dim sum place in South San Francisco.
It’s my Grandma’s favorite dim sum place. This place is pretty popular so we always get there when it first opens. Personally, I am not a big fan of dim sum just because I always want the food that is brought to the table. It also doesn’t help that I don’t understand Chinese.
However, these are my favorite things to eat at a dim sum restaurant:
The yellow bun is just a roll with yellow crispy topping and taro in the middle. When I grabbed this, I thought it was just a plain roll with nothing in the middle (which is my favorite), but there was a taro surprise waiting for me. It still tasted yummy. The baked pork bun was delicious. I usually like the steamed version better, but their steamed pork bun was just okay. The egg tart is so small and cute! Another favorite!
We ordered so much food that we had to stop ordering food because our table was full. This was just the beginning:
Here’s a bit of interesting news about me. I’ve lived in the Bay Area for my whole life and have never personally seen the Golden Gate Bridge. Crazy, right? I’ve been to San Francisco plenty of times for family get-togethers and wedding receptions, but had no reason to go to the Golden Gate Bridge. I never really thought about it until this past Thanksgiving, my brother took his girlfriend to see the bridge.
I just thought that since we were already going to San Francisco and my brother is in town for the week, it was a good time to go for the first time and take some neat pictures. Just another time I get to use my camera. I love taking pictures! It was raining on and off the whole day. Luckily, it stopped raining when we got to the bridge.
On the top left, you can see the platform where everybody is taking pictures. Everybody had such nice cameras!
The bridge is a nice place to sight-see and take pictures. It would be a nice stop to add to your journey through San Francisco’s gems. I definitely need to enjoy more of this city. What’s your favorite thing to do in San Francisco?
