More Cupcakes and more

While in Chicago, I got to try a new cupcake place called More Cupcakes. It was more of a bakery where you just go in to get the cupcakes and get out. They had some pretty outrageous flavors, so I wanted to try some of those.

The top left cupcake is a chocolate hazelnut cupcake, the top right cupcake is a pina colada cupcake and the bottom one is a bacon cupcake.   Pretty crazy flavors, huh?

I must say that I wasn’t too wowed by these cupcakes.  Maybe it’s because I got some outrageous flavors.  I hope that was the issue.  The bacon cupcake tasted exactly like bacon.  It was interesting to try, but I wouldn’t have it again.  The pina colada cupcake had actual pina colada in the middle, which was kind of fun, but I didn’t really care for the taste.  The chocolate hazelnut was good, but it kind of just tasted like a regular chocolate cake.  I do like how each cupcake has a special topping on top.  It’s very cute.  I would definitely go back there just to try other flavors.  I want to say that I didn’t get a full representation of the place.  This bakery is only in Chicago, so if you are ever there, try More cupcakes and see if there are other good cupcakes to try!

On another note, this Thanksgiving, I experienced a very tasty dessert, which was home-made, but not by me. Everyone who tried it must have had 4 pieces over a period of 2 1/2 days… well at least I did. It’s called an eclair cake.

It was made only a couple hours prior to the Thanksgiving meal, so it didn’t entirely set when I took the picture, but it was still amazing! It also amazed me that it’s just made out of pudding mix, chocolate and graham crackers! Once I get a recipe, I’m definitely going to try it.  If you would like to see my Thanksgiving meal for this year, you can see it here.  It was a meal I will never forget, it was that yummy.
